Join The Ivy for Jumbo Jam on Saturday, November 2nd, at 7:30 PM! Greek organizations, sports teams, and other campus organizations take the stage to showcase their lip-syncing skills in an epic showdown. All proceeds of the event will go towards the MN2-Gether Foundation, founded in honor of Ivy member Madie Nicpon, a beloved member of the Ivy and the Tufts community. MN-2 Gether was established to keep Madie's memory alive and to support causes she was passionate about, such as Mustard Seed and Donate Life.

This training course is designed to provide tools and techniques on how to react to an active shooter / active threat. This training expands upon information found in the Tufts University Emergency Response Guide. This platform is modeled around the Avoid, Deny, Defend response to an active shooter.
Avoid: Trust your instincts and don’t delay. Get away as quickly as possible Deny: If you can’t flee, obstruct or deny the active shooter access to your area Defend: If all else fails…Fight as a last resort and only when your life is in imminent danger This class is open to Tufts students, faculty, and staff. Sign-up is through the Tufts Learning Center; search for Civilian Response to Active Shooter.

A Build Day is a team-building day of service on one of Habitat for Humanity's construction sites. At the beginning of each workday, a Habitat Greater Boston Site Supervisor will begin with an introduction, a safety talk, and tool instruction. The group will then break into smaller crews to work on the various building tasks. The activities may include hanging drywall, painting, stacking lumber, framing, sanding, cleaning, and more!

Join a conversation with physician, scientist and the activist who exposed the Flint water crisis, Dr. Mona Hanna-Attisha. Dr. Mona is the Associate Dean for Public Health and C. S. Mott Endowed Professor of Public Health at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, and the founding director of the Pediatric Public Health Initiative, a public health program of MSU and Hurley Children’s Hospital in Flint, Michigan. Named one of Time magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the World and recognized as one of USA Today’s Women of the Century for her role in uncovering the Flint water crisis and leading recovery efforts, Dr. Mona has testified before the U.S. Congress and advocates for children in Flint and beyond. Her first-in-the-nation program, Rx Kids, aims to reimagine how society can come together to eliminate infant poverty. Dr. Mona is also the author of the New York Times 100 most notable book, What the Eyes Don’t See: A Story of Crisis, Resistance, and Hope in an American City, which was chosen as this year's selection for the Common Book Program, a partnership between the Tufts University School of Medicine and Tisch College, for all incoming medical students. We’ll be catering the food, and if you have any dish requests, feel free to email us at gsc-social@tufts.edu. Additionally, we’ll be collecting canned goods to donate to local food drives . For every two cans you donate, you’ll receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win prizes.
