There are no simple solutions to the prevention of mass atrocities. Yet, lessons from history and insights from research can help policymakers understand how to take effective action to prevent future mass atrocity crimes. The speaker will discuss a systematic review of more than thirty years of research on the effectiveness of different policy tools in helping prevent or respond to mass atrocities, concluding with implications for policymakers and researchers.
