In a supportive and confidential space, group members will have the opportunity to share challenges and reflections around social connections and relationships through their journeys through cultural adjustment, identity development, community building, and managing academic or career-related stress at Tufts. The goal of this group is to build self-awareness and improve relationship skills through open and thoughtful exploration of our co-created group experience. Open to all Mandarin-speaking undergraduate and graduate students. The Asian American Center is excited to welcome #1 New York Times Bestselling author and scholar R.F. Kuang for a conversation on Friday, October 10th at 7pm in Distler Auditorium. The event will also include an audience Q&A session. Doors open at 7pm. ??
About R.F. Kuang:
Rebecca F. Kuang is the #1 New York Times and #1 Sunday Times bestselling author of the Poppy War trilogy, Babel: An Arcane History, Yellowface, and Katabasis. Her work has won the Nebula, Locus, Crawford, and British Book Awards. She was named to the 2023 Time100 Next list and the Forbes 30 Under 30 Class of 2024. A Marshall Scholar, she has an MPhil in Chinese Studies from Cambridge and an MSc in Contemporary Chinese Studies from Oxford. She is now pursuing a PhD in East Asian Languages and Literatures at Yale, where she researches Sinophone literature and Asian American literature.
