Come join us for a one-time-only joint event between THREAD and Hooked (Craft for a Cause)! We will be distributing free, hand-crocheted harm reduction pouches which include naloxone and fentanyl test strips, which the Hooked club members have been crocheting all semester in anticipation of this event. We will also offer a presentation on the history of harm reduction and have plenty of FREE PIZZA for attendees!
We'll be around from 6-8pm, but you definitely don't have to stay the whole time -- come grab a pouch, grab a slice, learn a bit, and meet some cool people. You won't want to miss this!

We have invited Jaclyn Skidmore, an epidemiologist, to come to Tufts and discuss her experiences. She has been working in
Uganda, South Sudan and Sudan as an Epidemiologist, primarily on infectious diseases, but also on noncommunicable diseases.
In Uganda she worked on an Ebola outbreak as well as a response to an influx of refugees from DRC. In her most recent
assignment in Sudan, she primarily worked on supporting the field programs with ongoing data collection, management and
reporting amidst the civil war.
She will speak about how she got involved in MSF/what the recruiting process is like, general overview of the situations in the
countries that she has worked in, what it's like to be an American and female field worker, etc.
Free pizza will be provided!
