All Tufts students are welcomed to this 1-2 hour workshop hosted jointly by The Lantern Think Tank and the esteemed Applied Social Media Lab at the Berkman Klein Center (who have experience working in startups and in big tech). Join us on Thursday, April 24th from 4:30-6:30PM in the 200 Schmidheiny Room (Mugar Hall) - it's in Fletcher! Traditional CS ethics curricula (e.g. Harvard’s Embedded EthiCS) teach students to reason about the societal and ethical implications of their work. The Asian American Center is looking for short films created by Asian / Asian American students! The AAC Mini Short Film Festival will take place on Thursday, April 24th at 6:30 pm in Barnum 104. Until then, we are calling all student filmmakers for submission! Specifically, we are looking for short films in any medium, preferably under 15 minutes. Filmmakers can submit as many films as they like but can’t guarantee all will be featured. Filmmakers selected will be sent confirmation by April 22nd. The Hong Kong Student Association (HKSA) is hosting a cultural Bingo Night aimed at building community and promoting cultural exchange. The event will feature several rounds of bingo with small prizes for winners, along with a photo booth that includes props and visuals related to Hong Kong culture. Throughout the evening, we will incorporate cultural elements—such as images, trivia, and decorations—to educate and engage attendees in an inclusive and respectful manner. This will be a social, low-impact event open to all Tufts students. The event is expected to draw between 30 -40 attendees, and all activities will comply with university event policies.
