This is a mandatory training session for all new student-volunteers for Tufts Brain Exercise Initiative (BEI). The goal is to make sure all volunteers are prepared for their first volunteering session with our local partner nursing home. We will be covering expectations for working with the elderly, facilitation skills for the cognitive exercise packets, and logistics regarding transportations. If you are interested in volunteering with us, please attend either training sessions on Monday 9/15 6:00PM or Friday 9/19 3:00PM. This is the second GIM for the Tufts Ballroom Dance Team! Absolutely zero experience is required or expected to join the team. At this GIM we'll be sharing information about the club and teaching an introductory Foxtrot lesson! The Tufts Ballroom Dance Team offers instruction in the four styles of competitive partnered dance: American Smooth, International Standard, American Rhythm, and International Latin. Through weekly group lessons, open practices, and private instruction, team members routinely learn new figures, solidify partner work, and fine tune fundamental dancing techniques.
