- Oct 53:00 PMSunday Concert Series: A Celebration of Musical JourneysBuilding: Perry and Marty Granoff Music Center City: Medford, MA 02155 Room: Distler Performance Hall Campus: Medford/Somerville campus Open to Public: Yes Event Sponsor: School of Arts and Sciences Husband-and-wife duo and Tufts faculty members Pascale Delache-Feldman (bass) and Emmanuel Feldman (cello) first crossed paths at the Curtis Institute of Music while discovering Schubert’s Arpeggione Sonata—a work that has remained a touchstone in their musical lives. In a nod to those beginnings, Emmanuel Feldman opens the program with the Schubert Arpeggione Sonata, joined by pianist Victor Cayres. The couple then reunites as Duo Cello e Basso, bringing their trademark blend of virtuosity and chemistry to Bottesini’s dazzling Grand Duo, with Feldman taking on the violin part on cello—performed standing with his groundbreaking invention, the TekStand. Alongside selections from the duo’s vibrant repertoire, the evening culminates in Feldman’s own concerto Standing Tall, presented in its cello and piano version—a bold and personal celebration of artistry, innovation, and the enduring power of music shared."
