26.2 for the Brown and Blue
With many long hours of training under their belts, a beautiful spring day at the ready, and fans cheering them on, 15 runners competed for the Tufts Marathon Team at the Boston Marathon on Monday, April 21, in support of the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy’s groundbreaking research on nutrition and health.
Coached by Don Megerle, the team trekked the 26.2-mile course from Hopkinton to Boylston Street, and at mile nine on the route, Tufts Marathon Team runners were able to take a moment during the race to be greeted and embraced by Megerle and enthusiastic Tufts Marathon Team fans.
