Led by James Intriligator, Tufts Professor of the Practice in Mechanical Engineering. “Human Factors Engineering” and “Engineering Psychology” are two interdisciplinary majors offered at Tufts. In fact, Tufts is home to the country’s oldest (and some say most-distinguished!) Human Factors programs. In this short course you will learn what “human factors” is all about. You will do this by first learning a tiny bit of history, then learning a bit of method, and THEN by doing a whole lot of design, and human-factors engineering.
