MEDFORD - Five members of the Tufts University men's lacrosse team were recently announced as United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Assiciation (USILA) Scholar All-Americans for the 2022 season.

The Jumbos earning the accolade were Duke Alf, Mac Bredahl, Taggart Eymer, Camden Kelleher and Matt Lane.

In 1989 the USILA Scholar All-America Program was established to recognize student-athletes from USILA member institutions who have distinguished themselves academically, athletically and as citizens of their communities. The USILA Selection Committee selects an overall team representing Division I, II and III.

A Scholar All-American must be a senior or graduate player with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 (4.0 scale). He will have behaved in a manner that has brought credit to himself, his institution, and to college lacrosse both on and off the field. He must also be an All-American, or a member of a North/South team or an All-Conference player whose on the field credentials are evaluated by the committee.

The Scholar All-Americans are recognized at the annual Lacrosse All-America Banquet.

Tufts won its 11th New England Small College Athletic Conference championship and advanced to the NCAA Tournament "Final Four" under The Mike Daly Head Coach of Men's Lacrosse Casey D'Annolfo during a 19-3 season this spring.
