Data physicalizations create tangible, embodied representations of data, engaging both creators and audiences in the labor behind the data, its contents, and presentation. Participants of all experience levels with data analysis, visualization, and craft are welcome to join this interactive workshop and discussion where we will examine datasets from a data feminist framework before exploring data physicalization through weaving, felting, drawing, and more. Please bring a laptop to the workshop. If you are a crafty person and would like to bring your own tools for experimenting (such as knitting needles, a crochet hook, embroidery), you are welcome, but we will have supplies on hand.
