Why Getting More People to Vote Makes the Nation Stronger
Barely 50 percent of eligible Americans vote in a presidential election year, far lower than the turnout in many other democratic countries. Why should we worry? Tisch College of Civic Life, if only a segment of society is making decisions for everyone, our laws and policies won’t reflect the needs of many Americans, hurting their chances of becoming the productive citizens that help a nation thrive.
