More recently, Massachusetts officials have communicated that HPAI is now “widespread” in the state, affecting both wild and domestic birds. In this seminar, Runstadler and Gass will provide background and context of the current epizootic global HPAI epidemic, including current understandings of potential risks to public health. They will also discuss the development of interventions in countries where HPAI has been endemic.

More generally, he is interested in the literary dimension of historical transmission and recovery, as well as the use of psychoanalytic theory in social and cultural analysis. His work has appeared or is forthcoming in ASAP/J, Chicago Review, Postmodern Culture, C21 Literature, and Annulet. All are welcome. Refreshments will be served.
