Jumbo Life Calendar | Ellis Oval
The  National Society of Black Women in Medicine, Tufts Jumbos Athletics, Black Athletes at Tufts, and Athletes of Color at Tufts are coming together to raise awareness about Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) —a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects many, including athletes. To do so, we are hosting an ice bucket event featuring the ice bucket challenge, snacks, field day games, and more!

Jumbo Life Calendar | Joyce Cummings Center Ballrooms
Food Connects is designed to walk participants through the full food cycle, from soil to plate. You'll hear directly from farmers, explore the realities of animal agriculture, get up close with locally sourced ingredients, and learn how food waste can be tackled through creative practices like gleaning. The day kicks off with an interactive experience (11:00 am – 1:00 pm), where you’ll move through a series of engaging, educational stations that trace the journey of food,  from how it’s grown and raised, to how it’s processed, distributed, consumed, and (sometimes) wasted. In the afternoon, join us for a thought-provoking conversation between a representative from the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy and food systems leader Jennifer Hashley from the New Entry Sustainable Farming Project. Then stick around for roundtable discussions where you can share your thoughts and dig deeper,  all while enjoying locally sourced tastings curated by Tufts Dining Services. Come help us fundraise by pieing your favorite player!! Pay $3 to pie one of our volunteered players in the face with a whipped cream pie from 12:00-3:00 pm on the TTC patio April 29th! All donations will go towards new uniforms, equipment, and travel expenses for tournaments and are to be made by cash or card!! Want to RAMEN-ticize your finals study sessions? Come to the AAC on Tuesday, April 29 stop by the intern desk between 12 - 10 PM to enjoy some cup ramen as you study at the center, while supplies last! We will have hot water stations set up as well as complimentary nori / veggie mix. Vegetarian and vegan options will be available! Limit of 1 ramen per student. Supplies may run out prior to 10 PM.
