Jumbo Life Calendar | Academic Quad
Jumbo Fire & Flow is a flow, fire and circus arts club. This is our GIM and we will have a safety training to allow participanta to spin with real fire! At our weekly sessions we practice and skill-share an array flow arts. We juggle, spin hoops, poi, staves and more. We have plenty of props for you to learn and practice with. When the weather is comfortable we take to the quad for fire spinning. All levels, especially beginners, are welcome (all of the current leadership started with no experience). Come by, hang out, listen to music, connect with community, and gain some flow arts skills. ** This is an OUTDOOR jam with FIRE. ** Attendance is open, but participation with fire requires prop and safety training, and a signed safety waiver. This pre-professional club is comprised of Tufts students who are all interested in veterinary medicine, animal care, animal welfare, and just animals in general. Don’t let the name turn you off if you aren’t certain if you’re pre-vet. We offer many opportunities which will hopefully help you to decide whether this is the right path for you. Throughout the year we host speakers from various fields relating to veterinary medicine, go on some cool day trips and are also involved in events on campus. Trips include behind the scenes tours at the New England Aquarium and Museum of Science, tours of Tufts' Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine, and more!
