Tufts Timmy Global Health is a recognized organization supported by TCU. Our club collaborates with the international nonprofit "Timmy Global Health," which helps communities enhance their local health outcomes. At our Tufts University chapter, we have three committees: fundraising, advocacy, and domestic service. The fundraising committee organizes engaging and educational events for Tufts students and the wider community. We are excited to host a Halloween fundraising event to raise funds for our partner organization, Banelino.We will be selling candy bags with facts related to global health. MERG is sending 6 students to Dearborn, MI -- a town that will be very determinant in the outcome of 2024 elections, less than two weeks before Election Day! Students will attend the Connect Arab America: Empowerment Summit, meet with organizations, and visit the Arab America National Museum. Lastly, students will also speak to Dearborn citizens in a storytelling journalism initiative, to make sense of political nuance among the Arab American community right now. This program is designed for all students with an interest in Computer Science and an eagerness to learn about Italy, with its rich history and culture. No background in Italian language or Computer Science is needed.
