Tufts Historical Review is happy to host the 14th THR Presidential Lecture in coordination with the History Department and President's Office! This year's speaker is Professor David Howell, Professor of Japanese History and Chair of the Department of East Asian Languages and Civilizations at Harvard University. He will be telling us about the story of the 47 Ronin from 18th century Japan, how it has evolved over the centuries and in pop culture, and about how it relates to our journal theme this year - "Sacrifice".
