Each year, teams of 5 students travel to Phoenix, Arizona to compete in the SABR Diamond Dollars Case Competition, and attend the SABR Analytics conference. Students have one week to prepare for the competition, and then present to a panel of three judges, often affiliated with MLB teams. The conference features speakers across the profession and numerous networking opportunities with MLB clubs and non-team affiliated baseball companies.
