Jumbo Fire & Flow is a flow, fire and circus arts club. This is our GIM and we will have a safety training to allow participanta to spin with real fire! At our weekly sessions we practice and skill-share an array flow arts. We juggle, spin hoops, poi, staves and more. We have plenty of props for you to learn and practice with. When the weather is comfortable we take to the quad for fire spinning. All levels, especially beginners, are welcome (all of the current leadership started with no experience). Come by, hang out, listen to music, connect with community, and gain some flow arts skills. ** This is an OUTDOOR jam with FIRE. ** Attendance is open, but participation with fire requires prop and safety training, and a signed safety waiver. This is the first GIM for the Tufts Ballroom Dance Team! Absolutely zero experience is required or expected to join the team. At this GIM we'll be sharing information about the club and teaching an introductory Cha-cha lesson! The Tufts Ballroom Dance Team offers instruction in the four styles of competitive partnered dance: American Smooth, International Standard, American Rhythm, and International Latin. Through weekly group lessons, open practices, and private instruction, team members routinely learn new figures, solidify partner work, and fine tune fundamental dancing techniques.
