Jumbo Life Calendar | King Richard’s Faire, 5 Pine st, Carver, MA 02330
The Graduate Student Council (GSC) of the Graduate Schools of Engineering, Arts and Sciences, and the Museum of Fine Arts along with Tufts University School of Medicine (TUSM) are organizing a full-day trip to the King Richard's Renaissance Faire in Carver, MA on Saturday, October 11th. A Renaissance Faire is an outdoor festival that recreates a renaissance-inspired historical fantasy setting, with a focus on entertainment, food, and crafts. It's a blend of historical re-enactment and fantasy, where attendees often dress up in period costumes and enjoy many types of performances, artisan goods, and food and drinks. Suggestions for easy, cost effective costumes and ways to use items that are already in your closet can be sent upon request.
The gates of the Faire are open between 10:30 AM - 6:00 PM. Students will be able to sign up for group bus transportation to the fairgrounds, leaving from the Tufts University at the Mayer Campus Center at 9:00 AM, and pick up from Tufts University at 145 Harrison Ave, MA 02111 at 8:30 AM and dropping off from the destination around 7:30 PM. Students may arrive independently and leave the faire before 6:00 PM, but the group bus will only be making ONE trip back to pick up points after the Faire closes for the day.

Group tickets are expected to cost around $20.00 per ticket, a savings of 60%! Keep an eye on tufts tickets as they will be available soon!

Continuing the good vibes of AAFRO Weekend with Culture on the Lawn! The classic Africana Center event will remain very true to its original design, but will now be hosted by AAFRO. With that being said, the event will emulate and honor what HBCU homecomings are truly about; history, culture, perseverance, strolling, Divine 9 greek life, music, stepping, and most importantly, community.
