Join MERG for an in-depth panel exploring the historical, political, and media dimensions of the ongoing war on Gaza. Professors Khalid Fahmy and Kamran Rastegar will unpack how historical events, regional dynamics, and global narratives have shaped both the realities on the ground and the ways the conflict is represented in international media. Together, we’ll consider how history is written, whose voices are heard, and what led to the current moment.
The event will feature a short presentation by the professors, followed by a panel discussion and Q&A. Afterwards, students are invited to stay for an open reflection and dinner conversation.
